I hear America everyday at seven, noon, six and eleven.
I hear America shouting of needless deaths and defending honor.
I hear America discussing rights and needs and wants.
I hear America changing Modern times and old Values.
I hear America cheering and jeering from miles away.
I hear America changing into a different nation.
At seven, noon, six, and eleven, everyone hears America.
At seven, noon, six, and eleven, America falls deaf

bite the bullet:
grind your fragile teeth
against the acrid metal,
breathe the dark powder
-a huffer's greatest reward-
tongue the tip as a lover should,
and know you had it coming.
