Student Council members: Chris Decatur (2010-2011 Executive board President), Katie Cameron (2010-2011 Executive board Recording Secretary), Connor Judson (2012 Representative), Rachel Rugg (2013 Representative) and their advisor Diane Davidson attended the 2010 Ohio Association of Student Councils State Conference. This was the first conference for a majority of the students who attended but for junior, Chris Decatur, this was his second year attending the state conference. The students had the opportunity to live with a host family, attend workshops, and attend a banquet followed by a dance during their stay in Celina, Ohio. "As leaders we learned to light the way" Student council President Chris Decatur stated, "We brought back so many new ideas for the 2010-2011 school year, and truly represented why West is Best this weekend!"
