CLASS EXPECTATIONS

Mr. Klein

Welcome to a new year at West G and welcome to English Class! When you come to our class, be ready to learn, read, write, think critically about literature, and contribute in an intelligent and positive manner. choose to leave any negativity or laziness at the door.

Books we will be reading this year:

-D'aulaires' Greek Myths

-Speak-Laurie Halse Anderson

-Fahrenheit 451-Ray Bradbury

-Romeo and Juliet-William Shakespeare

-Short stories and poetry selections will be taken from the Holt Elements of Literature.

-We will also focus on grammar and writing throughout the year.

Requirements

  • You will be on time to class each and every day.
  • You will need to enter class prepared.
  • You will respect yourself and others at all time.
  • You will follow all rules in your student handbook.
  • You will not participate in whining or negativity
  • You will make positive and intelligent contributions to our class each and every day.

Supplies

  • Notebook (that you only use for this class)
  • Two pocket folder
  • Pen or pencil
  • Highlighter

Behavior and Attitude (Most Important!)

  • Always demonstrate respect for everyone in the room through your actions and language.

** Remember, being late is rude. It shows lack of respect for yourself and others.

*Suspension points will be given according to handbook rules.
